I identified with the strength and beauty of these areas, in particular the dry landscape of Central Otago, the steep bush clad mountains of Arthurs Pass and colourful snow formations of the Southern Alps. In my recent work the use of indian ink for sketching has been a very useful tool to explore how my mind enjoys to interpret the space around me.”
