“By recombining the architectural fragments, the space and time context will also be redefined.”
Architecture, human silhouettes, and the interplay of dimensions, namely an optical illusion of three-dimensionality, which actually remains two-dimensional however, are basic elements in my works. I work with acrylic on canvas, wood, lacquer pens on acrylic glass plates, or mirrors. The transition between drawing and painting is fluent in my work, often I’m combining both. Architecture reflections meet on code-like patterns, spray paint on clear lines. Drawings of real rooms are the starting point of the new, utopian scenery. By recombining the architectural fragments, the space and time context will also be redefined.
