    Each of us sees things in our own unique way. We live in the same world, and are exposed to many of the same things. It’s how we see these things and how we respond to them; that’s what sets us apart. Damaged is a series of discarded, lost, unwanted dolls that have found their way to my studio.  I have collected them in the same way I collect many things—not in the physical form of collecting, but in the stories and memories that accompany them. They have come from friends and family, clients, and acquaintances;
    they are unaltered from the condition they have found me. I have been
    drawn to them to honor their past and the lives they once touched.
