Danièle M. Marin’s new mixed media Cluster painting series is a visual essay on link and disjunction between image references found on the internet, magazines, etc., and color abstract organization. The making of the paintings became a method of testing the boundary between aesthetics and our image-driven culture. The incorporation of fabric shifts the expectation about traditional women’s arts.
