The artwork ‘Abendhimmel ’ (sky in the evening) is an abstract representation of the light of the setting sun and the colors and movement of the clouds in the sky at night.

The transparent surface and bright colors are the result of overlapping, translucent layers and by consciously composing different color variations. I did this by applying many thin layers of diluted watercolors on to the paper.

In contrast to the transparent structures there are also impermeable areas of watercolors, which form contrary structures in composition.
