Brooklyn Arts Council and the NYC Oyster project partnered with Brooklyn Bridge Park to present an investigation of marine life along Brooklyn’s waterfront. Featuring beautiful color photographs by Colleen Fanigan and a multimedia scrapbook by Judith Pleva, the exhibition examines the ecosystems of Brooklyn’s native oyster reefs and environmental issues about species endangerment and ecosystem regeneration.

Exhibited at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s new Community Center, the park’s permanent home for community and education initiatives, the exhibition will provide an opportunity for all community members and audiences to engage with art the explores thriving ocean life and conservation efforts.

    Exhibition dates: June 2-June 30, 2016

    Opening Reception: Thursday, June 2, 2016, 5-7pm

Address: Community Room at 99 Plymouth Street in Brooklyn, NY

*A talk with the artists and curator will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 1pm. The talk is free and open to the public.
